3.5L V6 connecting-rod bearing failure
Rod bearings in the 3.5 V6 can wear and seize the engine; a 2023 Honda recall covers inspection and repair on some VINs — run the VIN first, since that path is free. Outside the recall, a knocking engine means a replacement. Listen for a deep knock at cold start and under load; any knock is a walk-away.

9-speed automatic harsh shifting & warmer defect
The ZF 9-speed shifts harshly, hesitates, and can lose power briefly; its transmission fluid warmer had product updates and a 10-year warranty extension that is now expiring for early cars. Check by VIN that the updates were done. Jerky low-speed shifts on the test drive mean software at best, a transmission at worst.
