The 2022 Bolt EUV was swept into the same LG battery fire recall as the Bolt EV. Two rare cell defects in one cell can trigger a fire, so GM replaces the defective modules for free and adds a new 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty. At the viewing, ask for proof the recall was completed and confirm the car charges to a full 100% rather than sitting under the 80% software cap used before the fix. If it wasn't done, have the dealer complete it free before buying. A full pack out of pocket can reach $15,000.
