Weak stock clutch (slip and judder)
Owners widely report the stock clutch slipping under hard acceleration and juddering on take-off, often before 10,000 miles. On a test ride, roll on hard in a tall gear — if revs climb without the bike pulling harder, the plates are worn. New friction plates and stiffer springs are a cheap, permanent fix; ask for receipts if the seller says it was done.
Ask for repair records covering this item. If it hasn't been addressed and the car is in or near the mileage window, price the $250–$500 repair into your offer — or make it the seller's problem.
