Valve cover oil leak and cam/tappet ticking

The 2007–2008 generation has a documented NHTSA complaint cluster for oil leaking from the valve cover gasket and a sensor O-ring at the front of the engine — a real hazard, since oil can reach the rear tire. Check the front and top of the engine for fresh oil residue. Also listen for a loud tick at idle: owners tie it to cam and tappet wear on this generation, and worn cams cost far more than a gasket.
