Mazda CX-5 (2016–2016): what actually fails

The documented failure patterns on used Mazda CX-5s — the mileage window where each shows up, and what the repair typically costs at an independent shop. This is the same data NoLemon's Brief checks against every VIN.

LED daytime running light failure

The LED daytime running lights flicker and burn out; recall 20V-063 fixed some, but owners report the other side failing later and out-of-warranty fixes need a whole headlamp unit. Turn the car on and confirm both running lights are lit and steady. Check recall completion by VIN — a done recall plus two working lights is low risk.

BEFORE YOU BUY
Ask for repair records covering this item. If it hasn't been addressed and the car is in or near the mileage window, price the up to $1,200 repair into your offer — or make it the seller's problem.
