The documented failure patterns on used Suzuki GSX-R600s — the mileage window where each shows up,
and what the repair typically costs at an independent shop. This is the same data NoLemon's Brief checks
against every VIN.
Front brake master cylinder corrosion (recall 13V-449)
Old brake fluid corrodes a piston inside the front master cylinder, creating gas that makes the front brake spongy and weak. Suzuki replaced master cylinders free under a 2013 recall, but many bikes never went in — have a dealer check the VIN. On the test ride the front lever must feel firm; a mushy lever that pumps up is this failure.

2008–2010TYPICAL 10k–50k MIUP TO $400
Regulator/rectifier failure (recall 11V-108)
The regulator/rectifier on 2008–2010 bikes can overheat and stop charging the battery, causing stalls or a no-start; Suzuki replaced them free under a 2011 recall. Confirm the recall was done by VIN. Check charging with a voltmeter — about 14 volts at the battery at 5,000 rpm — and treat an upgraded aftermarket unit with receipts as a plus.
