Regulator/rectifier overheats and fails

Same charging flaw as the Street Triple: the regulator/rectifier cooks itself and the battery stops charging, covered by recall 12V445000 for 2006-2009. Verify the recall was done and test charging voltage at the battery. An upgraded MOSFET regulator with a receipt is the best outcome on a used one.
